Introduction
Some satellite based Internet services, aimed at the consumer market, have gained a bad press because of their poor performance. DRASTIC aims to provide a professional grade service at a reasonable price.
Satellite bandwidth is very expensive compared with DSL or commercial T1 terrestrial connections available in North America or Europe. Few of our customers can therefore afford their own dedicated bandwidth. We therefore concentrate on supplying relatively low contention shared bandwidth. This approach gives the best compromise between price and performance.
Coverage Area
Working closely with partners SDN Global in Charlotte, North Carolina, we can provide near global coverage from a network of seven satellites and five earth stations.
